Journey to Korea…
28-8-2007 at 8.20 am, i departed from Penang to Bangkok and then transited to Busan, Korea where Dongseo University is located. How i feel?? emm… excited because travel to korea and learn new stuffs but sad because leaving my family and a bunch of good friends. Again, Thanks for all the farewells that you guys have organized for me.
These are my Best colleagues and frens in Agilent. They were there in airport to see me cry when entering the security gate [unfortunately i didn't] say good bye to me. From left, Damien, Mei Siang, C2, Kevin, Jolene & Jee Wei.
My parents, grandma, uncles
inside the Thai airway’s cabin. A300-600 plane.
Transit in Bangkok new airport, Suvarnabhumi International Airport. btw, Quite a nice airport.
When i was departing to Busan from Bangkok, a lot of funny things happened to me. Am i look like Korean????
Korean Stewardess 1: $#%$#@$#%%@^#$ [speak in Korean]
me: ah? sorry?
Korean Stewardess 1: We have seafood noodle, fise fillet……
[i got an immigration form written in Korean while the Thailander lady who sit beside me got the English version one]
me: Excuse me, May i have English version one.
Korean Stewardess 2: Ops sorry, I thought you are Korean.
============i arrived at Busan around 7.45pm Korea’s time==============
My friends/lab mates brought me to hostel from airport by taxi.
when i first entered into my room, i was shocked to see such a nice & well equipped room. I can’t believe is a hostel because the hostel that i stayed in MMU during undergrad was far behind this. This hostel is equipped with air-con, study table, new bed sheet, pillo, wardrobe, shoe cupboard, floor with heater & so on. I shared a room with one PHD student from MMU, Malaysia as well. He is a nice & friendly guy.
upper one is my bed.
my study table.
my roommate’s table & a window
wooden floor with heater
nice,clean personal toilet.Did u notice the basket beside the toilet’s bowl ? According to Korean’s culture, we must throw all the papers that we have used into this basket instead of flushing away the papers into the bowl. Yup… included the papert that you have used to wipe ur ass.
else the korean cleaner will unhappy if they didn’t find any papers in the basket. i guess for malaysian, we definately flush away ‘that’ paper rite?
=======Food=======
So far so good :p
The food is nice and the shop’s aunty very friendly and kind.
This is ‘hei jang kuk’ [pork soup]. around 4000 won. quite nice
Almost all meals are come with these side dishes.
Dinner with MMU trainees.
……so stay tune, i will try my best to update the blog……
